Debate allows for the students to learn and to be able to think critically at how they can solve the problems of poverty. We believe that when we engage the students in a debate about poverty, we would unlock their imagination and empower them to become not only good policy makers that would solve this issue but also good entrepreneurs. We need to use debating as a tool for socio-economical change across the region, because we will find the solutions to our challenges through open discussions, debate, critical analysis and also learn tolerance to one another point of view as socio-economical change is brought about by tolerated disagreements among opposing theoretical points of view and debate is the tool to achieve this.
